  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 6 slices deli chicken
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until even.
  3. Arrange the chicken slices evenly across the pastry.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken.
  5. Fold the pastry in half and press lightly to seal; cut into strips about 2.5 cm wide.
  6. Twist each strip gently and place them on the prepared baking tray.
  7. Brush each twist with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
  8. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
