- 1 yellow onion (grated)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 yellow onion (diced)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- ½ cup low sodium chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp chopped dill
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, grate one onion and combine it with ground beef, breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, heavy cream, and egg. Mix gently until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into four equal patties about ¾ inch thick.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook each patty for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet.
- In the same skillet, add diced onion and minced garlic; cook until fragrant. Stir in salt, black pepper, and flour until well incorporated.
- Add chicken broth while scraping up brown bits; simmer for about 2 minutes before adding heavy cream and chopped dill.
- Return the cooked patties to the skillet; simmer for another 5-6 minutes until heated through.
