  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in milk and vanilla.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients into wet mixture without overmixing.
  5. Pour half the batter into the pan and sprinkle half the cinnamon-sugar topping over it.
  6. Add remaining batter on top and finish with the remaining topping; swirl gently with a knife.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
