  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 12 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (for ganache)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for caramel)
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, cubed (for caramel)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (for caramel)
  • 1 cup toasted almond slivers
  • 1/2 cup crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, and melted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand. Press firmly into the bottom of an 8×8-inch square pan and chill for 10 minutes.
  2. Melt dark chocolate with heavy cream and butter in a heat-proof bowl over simmering water until smooth. Stir in vanilla extract and sea salt. Allow cooling slightly.
  3. For the caramel, melt granulated sugar over medium-high heat until amber. Whisk in cubed butter and then gradually add heavy cream while stirring. Stir in sea salt.
  4. Toast almond slivers in a skillet and mix with crushed pretzels and toffee bits.
  5. Pour cooled ganache over the chilled crust, then drizzle warm caramel on top followed by the crunch topping mix. Chill for at least one hour before cutting into bars.
