  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • For Topping: 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast; let sit until frothy (5-10 minutes).
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt; mix well.
  3. Gradually stir in flour until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth; place in a greased bowl and let rise covered in a warm area for about 1-2 hours.
  5. Roll out dough into a rectangle, brush with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mix, roll tightly into a log, and cut into 12 pieces.
  6. Place rolls in a greased baking dish; cover and allow to rise again for 30-45 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Brush with melted butter before serving.
