Ingredients
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 12 oz can evaporated milk
- 1 3/4 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 1/2 Tbsp vanilla extract
- 5 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a kettle of boiling water for the water bath.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and water; bring to a boil until golden brown. Pour into a non-stick cake pan.
- Blend the condensed milk, evaporated milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, eggs, and salt until smooth. Strain into the cake pan over caramel.
- Cover with aluminum foil and place in a roasting pan filled halfway with boiling water.
- Bake for 70-80 minutes until slightly jiggly in the center. Cool at room temperature before refrigerating for at least 6 hours.
- To serve, run a knife around the edges and invert onto a platter.
