Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 8 sheets filo pastry
  • 4 slices feta cheese
  • 1 cup good quality honey
  • Black sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Layer four sheets of filo pastry on a clean surface, brushing each with melted butter.
  3. Place two slices of feta in the center, drizzle half of the honey over it, and fold the pastry over to enclose the feta completely.
  4. Transfer to a baking tray lined with parchment paper, brush the top with more melted butter, and bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Once baked, let cool slightly, drizzle with remaining honey, sprinkle black sesame seeds on top, and serve warm.
