- 1/3 cup coconut oil (melted)
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla
- 1/4 cup coconut oil (melted)
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon flaky sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together coconut flour and almond flour. Stir in melted coconut oil and maple syrup until smooth. Press this mixture into the prepared baking dish to form the shortbread layer.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely.
- For the caramel layer, mix almond or cashew butter, melted coconut oil, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt until smooth. Spread over the cooled shortbread and chill for at least an hour.
