  • ⅓ cup honey (for honey simple syrup)
  • ⅓ cup water (for honey simple syrup)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease an 8-inch cake pan lined with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl.
  3. In a stand mixer, cream together butter and sugar for two minutes until fluffy.
  4. Add vanilla and almond extracts followed by the whisked eggs, mixing until combined.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients until just incorporated.
  6. Gently fold in almond flour with a rubber spatula until fully mixed.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
