  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 ½ pounds boneless skinless chicken breast (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 slices cooked and crumbled turkey bacon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Blanch broccoli in boiling water for 5 minutes; rinse with cold water and drain.
  3. Layer blanched broccoli in a greased 9×9 casserole dish.
  4. Season chicken with garlic, parsley, chives, dill weed, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Sauté seasoned chicken in olive oil until cooked through; add minced garlic and sauté for an additional 30 seconds.
  6. Combine cooked chicken with broccoli in the casserole dish.
  7. In the same skillet, add heavy cream and whisk to combine; cook until thickened.
  8. Stir in half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses; pour over chicken and broccoli mixture.
  9. Top with remaining cheeses and crumbled turkey bacon.
  10. Bake for about 20 minutes until browned and bubbling; let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
