  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 1/3 cups oil
  • 8 cups flour (plus extra for rolling)
  • 2 cups feta cheese
  • Sesame seeds (for topping)
  • Egg yolks (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. In a mug, mix warm milk with yeast and sugar; set aside until foamy.
  2. In a bowl, whisk eggs and oil until combined. Add yeast mixture and remaining milk and salt; mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour while stirring with a wooden spoon. Knead until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
  5. Shape dough into logs and cut into equal pieces; roll each into circles.
  6. Cut circles into triangles, fill with feta cheese mixture, and roll up from the outside in.
  7. Place on baking sheets lined with parchment paper; let rise again for 20-30 minutes.
  8. Brush with beaten egg yolk, sprinkle sesame seeds, then bake at 350°F until golden brown.
