Ingredients
- 1 tbsp yeast
- 2 cups warm milk
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 1/3 cups oil
- 8 cups flour (plus extra for rolling)
- 2 cups feta cheese
- Sesame seeds (for topping)
- Egg yolks (for brushing)
Instructions
- In a mug, mix warm milk with yeast and sugar; set aside until foamy.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs and oil until combined. Add yeast mixture and remaining milk and salt; mix well.
- Gradually add flour while stirring with a wooden spoon. Knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
- Shape dough into logs and cut into equal pieces; roll each into circles.
- Cut circles into triangles, fill with feta cheese mixture, and roll up from the outside in.
- Place on baking sheets lined with parchment paper; let rise again for 20-30 minutes.
- Brush with beaten egg yolk, sprinkle sesame seeds, then bake at 350°F until golden brown.
