  • 1 ¼ teaspoons fine sea salt
  • For ganache: 6 ounces white chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon culinary matcha powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8 inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and milk until fully combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix mochiko, matcha powder, and salt. Gradually fold this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. For the ganache, combine white chocolate chips and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in increments until smooth, then stir in matcha powder.
  6. Allow brownies to cool before cutting into squares and drizzling with warm ganache.
