  • 56 ripe peaches, cut into 8 wedges
  • 1 stick (8 tablespoons) salted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup light or dark brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter for drizzle
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup for drizzle

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place cubed butter in a baking dish to melt.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, 3/4 cup brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Add milk and vanilla; stir until just combined.
  3. In another bowl, toss peach wedges with remaining brown sugar and maple syrup.
  4. Layer half the peaches over melted butter in the baking dish. Pour batter over without stirring and top with remaining peaches.
  5. Bake for 50-55 minutes until golden brown and center is set.
  6. For the maple butter drizzle, heat additional butter and maple syrup in a pan until boiling for 2 minutes.
  7. Serve warm or at room temperature drizzled with maple butter.
