- 5–6 ripe peaches, cut into 8 wedges
- 1 stick (8 tablespoons) salted butter, cubed
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup light or dark brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 4 tablespoons salted butter for drizzle
- 1/4 cup maple syrup for drizzle
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place cubed butter in a baking dish to melt.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, 3/4 cup brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Add milk and vanilla; stir until just combined.
- In another bowl, toss peach wedges with remaining brown sugar and maple syrup.
- Layer half the peaches over melted butter in the baking dish. Pour batter over without stirring and top with remaining peaches.
