- 2 lb thinly sliced sirloin steak or boneless beef chuck roast
- 1 cup beef stock
- 1/2 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp cornstarch
- 4 tbsp water
- 1 bag (12 oz) frozen broccoli florets
- Cooked white rice (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients by slicing the beef and mincing the garlic.
- In a mixing bowl, combine beef stock, soy sauce, brown sugar, and minced garlic. Stir well.
- Layer sliced beef in the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture evenly over it.
- Cover and cook on low for about 330 minutes (5.5 hours).
- About 30 minutes before serving, mix cornstarch with water and stir into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
- Add frozen broccoli florets during the last 20-30 minutes of cooking.
- Serve hot over cooked white rice if desired.
