  • 8 tablespoons (1/2 cup) butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • Optional: powdered sugar or pink granulated sugar
  • 30 chocolate Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, melted butter, and egg until smooth.
  2. Fold in the softened cream cheese until thoroughly blended.
  3. Cover the dough and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough, rolling them in powdered or pink sugar if desired.
  6. Place them on the prepared baking sheets and bake for about 8–10 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  7. Press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie immediately after removing from the oven.
  8. Let them cool on a wire rack before serving.
