  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup grated carrots
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • Vegetable oil for frying (enough to submerge egg rolls)
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add vegetable oil. Cook ground chicken with garlic and ginger until browned (about 5 minutes). Stir in cabbage, carrots, and green onions, cooking for an additional 3 minutes. Add soy sauce and mix well.
  2. Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of filling onto one corner. Fold it over tightly, tuck in the sides, and roll up completely.
  3. In a deep fryer or pan, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Carefully place egg rolls in hot oil without overcrowding. Fry for about 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Remove from oil and place on paper towels to absorb excess grease.
  6. Plate your crispy egg rolls with sweet chili sauce on the side.
