- 2 oz apple pie filling
- 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2–3 tsp water (for glaze)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix warm milk, water, and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- In a large bowl, whisk flour, salt, and sugar. Cut in butter until crumbly.
- Add yeast mixture and egg; stir until combined without overmixing.
- Wrap dough in plastic wrap and chill for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out dough into a rectangle; fill center with apple pie filling and cardamom.
- Fold dough over the filling lengthwise; shape into an oval or horseshoe and place on a baking sheet.
