  • 1/4 cup apple butter
  • 1 cup white sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, apple butter, and white sugar until smooth.
  3. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the ground cinnamon, all-purpose flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and stir gently until a dough forms.
  6. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough, roll into balls, and coat in cinnamon sugar.
  8. Place on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for about 13 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Let cool on a wire rack before serving.
