Ingredients
- 1–2 racks babyback ribs
- 3 cups pineapple juice
- 1 ½ cups brown sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons mustard powder
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1/3 cup red apple vinegar
- 1 ½ tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoon soy sauce
- ½ teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- your favorite barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Cut the ribs into 2-3 bone portions and place them in a crockpot.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together pineapple juice, brown sugar, mustard powder, ketchup, red apple vinegar, lemon juice, soy sauce, garlic, and spices until well combined.
- Pour the marinade over the ribs in the crockpot. Cover and cook on high for 5-6 hours or low for 8-10 hours until tender.
- Preheat your grill over medium heat. Brush one side of each rib portion with barbecue sauce and place sauce side down on the grill for 2-3 minutes until charred.
- Flip the ribs, brush generously with more barbecue sauce, close the lid again, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Serve immediately for optimal flavor.
