Description

Celery and Apple Salad is a refreshing blend of crunchy romaine lettuce, crisp celery, and sweet gala apples, all tossed with sharp cheddar cheese and a zesty dressing. This delightful salad is perfect for busy weekdays or as a vibrant side dish at gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 heads of romaine lettuce, washed and chopped
  • 3 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, chopped
  • 2 gala apples, thinly sliced
  • Freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons red apple vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the romaine lettuce, celery, red onion, cheddar cheese, and gala apples. Season with cracked black pepper and toss well.
  2. In a mason jar or salad dressing container, mix the olive oil, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, red apple vinegar, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Secure the lid and shake until well combined.
  3. Drizzle half of the dressing over the salad mixture and toss gently to coat. Adjust with more dressing if desired.
  4. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days.
