  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon instant coffee granules
  • 24 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease an 8-inch baking dish.
  2. Melt 1 stick of unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla; mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add to the wet mixture until fully combined.
  5. Spread the batter in the prepared dish and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cool completely before preparing the frosting.
  7. Mix instant coffee granules with heavy cream; set aside.
  8. Beat unsalted butter until fluffy, then add powdered sugar gradually until smooth.
  9. Incorporate the coffee cream mixture into the frosting until desired consistency is reached.
