Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds chicken (breasts, thighs, or tenderloins)
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ½ cup fruit juice (such as orange or pineapple)
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, fruit juice, sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Bring to a boil then simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened. Let cool.
- Reserve ¼ cup of the sauce for later. Pour the remaining sauce over the chicken in a mixing bowl and coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat your grill to high heat. Remove chicken from marinade and place on the grill.
- Grill for about 5 minutes per side or until cooked through (internal temperature of 165º F). Baste with reserved marinade during cooking.
