  • 1 ½ cups crushed pretzels
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 6 ounces softened cream cheese
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups Cool Whip
  • 2 cups sliced strawberries
  • 1 cup water
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 3 ounces strawberry Jell-O

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a food processor, crush pretzels and mix with melted butter and sugar. Press into a 9-inch pie plate to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes; let cool.
  3. Beat cream cheese with sugar until smooth; fold in Cool Whip. Spread over cooled crust and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, and cornstarch; bring to boil while stirring for about two minutes. Remove from heat, add Jell-O powder, stir until dissolved, and let cool.
  5. Arrange sliced strawberries on top of the cream cheese layer; pour cooled Jell-O mixture over strawberries. Refrigerate for at least four hours until set.
