- 200 g dark chocolate
- 100 g brown sugar
- 50 g granulated sugar
- 3 eggs
- 90 g all-purpose flour (sifted)

- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 shots espresso or instant coffee
- 250 g mascarpone cheese (room temperature)
- 240 ml heavy cream
- 50 g sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp espresso powder
- Cocoa powder for dusting

- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8 or 9-inch square baking tin with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt together unsalted butter and dark chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Stir in both sugars until well combined, then add eggs one at a time, whisking after each addition.
- Sift together all-purpose flour and salt; gently fold into the mixture until just combined.
